Where was the friendliest place you ever lived?

Swell. Long-haul trucker loaded on meth and on the road. Just swell.
We're getting way off topic here but let me say this, as a former trucker. Why is it I never hear you people complain when food., clothes, medicine, household tools and supplies, and EVERYTHING ELSE you want or need, is ON the store shelves? No, you only complain about truckers on drugs. The amphetamines necessary to work round the clock to meet your consumer demands. Factor in COVID and shipping bottleneck crisis. Many US truckers are pulling double shifts 8 days a week to keep our economy flowing. And toilet paper on the shelf. Remember when you panicked cus NO crap paper on the store shelf?

Try to do that with only coffee to keep you awake and alert. Lmao

An island in Puget Sound in Washington State, near Seattle. People mellowed out as soon as they moved there.

We are way off topic but thank you for the wake up call, many of us are unaware of the steps taken to make our lives easier.

Cornwall has been mentioned a few times in this thread. In 2017 DH and myself stayed in Fowey for a time. We travelled by bus everywhere, it was marvellous, the people were so incredibly kind and generous with their time and knowledge. We found Cornwall through the history they had to impart. What to them was a regular day trip to do their shopping for us was the start of a brilliant day even if it was raining or foggy.

You're welcome and although still way off-topic, Did you know FMSCA/DOT HOS (Hours of Service) Rules were suspended, due to Covid pandemic? No? I didn't either, until I was chillin with my trucker buddies. Point being, that loosened restriction opened a mega whip-cracking opportunity. So yeah, some of them, are turning to coke and meth to keep up the pace. Not cool, but it is what it is, and we consumers are all indirectly responsible for what truckers must do to provide us the goods and services we demand. Sayin, coffee ain't gonna cut it. Nuff said. Now back to.... Friendliest Places.
