Which drink is best for hydration? Hint: It isn’t water

I drink Gatorlyte because it is specially formulated for people that are prone to cramps. It has been working very well. My cramps have all but gone. I do make it a point to drink one 1-12 oz. glass of Vitamin D milk daily. Totally, I drink about 40-50 ounces of water. milk and Gatorlyte for hydrating purposes.

I agree. I also drink Gatorlyte and Pedialyte, I can’t get Gatorlyte. The electrolytes in Gatorade and Gatorlyte help to step up the necessary minerals and electrolytes. I keep cases of Deer Park water Gatorade and Gatorlyte on hand all the time.

I still officiate high school basketball and college baseball, so I drink a bottle of water and a bottle of Gatorlyte on the way home after my game. I was having problems with cramping really bad, including locking my fingers so I couldn’t move them. That’s one weird feeling. Pedialyte is OK when I can’t get my hands on Gatorade or Gatorlyte, but it has a weird taste in my mouth.

I can't stand the taste of milk. In the OP from CNN, I saw good marks for certain sugared beverages. I go for lemonade sometimes thru the day, but I most often sip on a glass of water throughout the day, usually taking in 32 ounces in a 24 hour period.

You can also buy bottles or pills of just electrolytes to add to your bottle of water.
