Which movie or TV couple might have made a great marriage in real life?

Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty. My mother had a crush on Marshall Dillon. She was full term pregnant and in early labor and delayed going to the hospital so she could finish watching that night's Gun Smoke.
I don't think Dillon had what it took to be a husband. Festus seemed to me to be good husband material and would be a good match for Kitty. I grew up watching Gunsmoke at my grandpas. He was the only one with a TV and I watched it every day possible.

My first husband was like Dillon and I like Kitty except I was a one man woman. He turned to drink and cheating as I suppose Dillon might have. My second husband, while more educated, is like Festus in mannerisms and loyalty. Sometimes if he does something like knock his plate of food on the floor. I say, "Nice move Festus." He usually responds with, "No call for sarcasm, Ms Kitty.":ROFLMAO:

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez. I used to pretend to be sick so I could stay home from school to watch that show. Learned real quick not to say I had a sore throat cuz Mom would get out the flashlight, look in there and say, "You're going to school." After that, it was stomach ache. Fond memories of when I had the mumps; got to stay home for at least a few days! Woo hoo!

@Elsie - When you asked your question, you typed it inside the body of the post you were replying to, so I cannot hit my reply button and get your post #24 to come up.

But the answer to your question is yes - which I think was the meaning of an earlier post which said, "batted for the other team."
