Which of your childhood dreams did come true?

Somewhat along the lines of the @oldman thread "Did Your Life Turn Out The Way You Wished?" which of your childhood dreams were you able to do in your life.

I learned how to fly a plane and has a private pilot's license.

I also learned how to scuba dive and got certified to do it.

Interestingly enough neither turned out to be important enough to keep doing because it took too much money or time to keep doing. I have however started to occasionally go scuba diving 40 years after getting my certification.

When I was a child I always dreamed of far away places.

One of my favorite pastimes was looking at my globe.

It was 63 years before I finally needed a passport because @bowmore came into my life and made my dreams come true in so many ways. Since we met 14 years ago, we have traveled 500 days on 51 trips including 18 cruises and visited 41 countries. ❣ My bucket is full.

As a teenager, I was interested in submarines and read every book I could find on them. As a Field Engineer, I had the excitement of sailing on the USS George Washington and USS Abraham Lincoln nuclear submarines
I also wanted to fly, so over time I got my commercial certificate and my instrument rating. I flew for 47 years, and in the last years of my flying, I flew 110 missions for Angel Flight West, taking patients to far destinations for their appointments.
I also wanted to travel, and when I met @Kayelle, we traveled quite a bit. See post #2 above.

I didn't really have childhood dreams. I spent so much time with my nose in a book and the fictional worlds were so much better than reality that I was satisfied. I played with dolls and my friends and I staged mock weddings as kids but I never really thought much about marrying and having babies. Turns out I realized that was not something I wanted during my late teens, early 20s.
