Which Superhuman Ability would you choose?

I'd like to have the ability to do magic. Like Bewitched, but with additional (good) powers. Basically I want to be able to nose twitch my housework and all chores done. Plus some other stuff that is a lot more interesting.

I would opt for telekinesis (psychokinesis), the ability to move objects with my mind. The best known example of this power perhaps being in Stephen King’s early novel, Carrie. Jedi Knights and Sith Lords in Star Wars also seem to possess this ability in varying degrees, as does Jean Grey of The X-Men…

I would choose to be able to read minds. Like @hawkdon , to pick out bad people and find the liars.

I am already invisible.

And I can morph. It just takes a long time to gain weight or lose weight. ;)

@Radrook , you should have included a poll in this thread.
You could use that power to find employment in law enforcement. It would save them time from having to use a lie detector.

Why sad face? There is a lack of compassion in the world, yet all the superheroes have compassion for the victims otherwise they wouldn’t react to their blight. Therefore, while I consider myself a compassionate person, I would choose to have more.
Sad face because I agree with you. Great lack of compassion, must one be superhuman to have it? Maybe.

Yes, I think one must be superhuman, especially in today”s world.

What makes me really curious is a Bible reference, at least I think it’s from the Bible. When JC is questioned about Mary using oil on his feet instead of selling the oil and helping the poor, JC replies; “there will always be poor among us”. Or something like this, my memory is so vague anymore.

This seems to be a lack of compassion, and displays JC’s more than human side. Making compassion an even more needed superpower.

Your question reminded me of this scene with this question.

How does being a normal human prevent one from being predominantly a compassionate person?
It’s a “dog eat dog” world, it’s a me, me, me world, it’s a world where people want the homeless arrested, it’s a world where juveniles are tried as adults, a world where immigrants live in terror, it’s a world where we sit on our butts and watch people die in wars, and complain we can’t find our favorite cereal while people in war torn nations starve, a world where woman can still be killed for the slightest infraction, it’s a world where compassion is lacking.

Normal human men and women are inhumane. Normal human men and woman are overloaded with the inhumanity that surrounds them.

God should scrap the human race and go with the apes. They are better behaved; they pick bugs off each other-now that’s compassion.

The Ability of Flight. I would love to visit family and friend's interstate and cousins living overseas. I hate having to wait at the airport hours on end and sometimes being told the flight has been cancelled.

We should try to remember to look in the mirror before we judge, then remember:
Thou shalt not judge. --The Bible

Judging Christ --what a concept! Could we be morphing ourselves into gods now?
