Which Superhuman Ability would you choose?

Judging Christ --what a concept! Could we be morphing ourselves into gods now?
I didn’t make a judgement, I did state facts from the Bible, as I remember them.

Once again you are wrong on your facts, seems to be a habit. Jesus Christ was not a God. By many religions, he is considered to be the SON the christian God, aka The Great I Am. By others, he is considered to be a prophet of God. Whether he was fully human, or not, while he was alive is a matter of debate.

But he was birthed by a human female, which makes him at least 50% human. He was raised by his step-father Joseph-a human man. Therefore, he was raised as a human being, he was not raised as a god. And his manner, his compassion for others, reflects his human up bringing. IMO.

He never met God, the father of us all, until he died.

A great many of us believe we will meet whatever God we believe in when we die. Maybe we will, maybe we won’t.

Anything else you, @gruntlabor, would like me to explain to you? Or do you just wish to keep digging holes? 😊

Probably a topic for its own thread, but why do women think they are more "invisible" than anyone else?

It is about missing the winks and wolf whistles from your 20s? :ROFLMAO: Could it be fallout from the #MeToo and #BelieveWomen movements that lead guys to quickly avert their eyes and seldom speak first or in words of more than one syllable to any woman? The rush to judgement as "creeps?"

How much of it stems from the resulting #WalkAway movement by men? Or cat allergies? 🤪

Or is it something else entirely? Do you feel invisible to your own families as well? Do you feel like you're not getting "your due" somehow?
lt seems that everything l touch goes screwy and l spend hours fixing it. I don't think this is exactly the same post you first posted. You would never say such things.

Jesus himself claimed to be not from this earth.

John 8:23-25

23 He said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

Please note that Judas, who objected to Jesus receiving the gift, wanted the money for himself, because he was a thief.
John 12:6
New International Version
He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

New Living Translation
I am not going to get in a debate about religion, JC, GOD, or the Bible. My discussions, for the most part, have been about the world needing more compassion as a superhuman ability. There is no way to actually know about the true lives of JC or Judas or anyone else who was alive so long ago.

The Bible, as I remember, was written decades after the death of these people. Many books (chapters) of the Bible were lost, and some were destroyed and some are still hidden away. It is impossible to know what the Bible would be because of the missing books. Or what has been lost in translation.

But the Bible was written by men, not by JC himself. It’s a story book; possibly part fact, certainly part fiction. People like to quote the Bible in debates, using only the parts that support their position and putting aside the parts that do not. Whatever, cause I’m not debating.

None of us are perfect people. All of us have sinned and will sin again, and again. No matter what our belief system is. All of us, every human being in the world need to be more compassionate. IMO, including myself. And yes, compassion is a super power.

If you wish to debate about religion, or the Bible, or the words in the Bible start a discussion, or don’t. I could not care less.

Well, about compassion, then, Aneeda, the world has enough already. What it needs is more people rolling up their sleeves. Just my opinion, no offense, but I distrust compassion, it's cheap and too easy.

@gruntlabor put down your shovel and stop digging. You may have compassion confused with empathy. Google the true meaning of compassion which I did. “The feeling that arises when you are confronted with another’s suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering“

Hmm, motivated by rolling up your sleeves and doing something? Oh, gee, seems we are in agreement. 😂. How did that happen?

:( Agreeing is not very much fun.

It’s not always the Honey do List, Its I really should start and finish it!

Really? You could not care less? Strange since you sure seem hell-bent on proving that Jesus Christ was not whom he claimed to be and that the Bible is worthless drivel, while expecting that those who believe otherwise silently accept your false accusations.

Also, ironic is your claiming to be a Christian while vehemently attacking Christianity and the book upon which it is based.. That's similar to claiming to be an evolutionist while attacking Darwin and evolution.

Your premise about historical documents is seriously flawed because it assumes them all of equal historical value ignoring the fact that many are rejected as bogus after being subjected to an unbiased literary examination..

In stark contrast, the Bible passes the stringent literary examination described below with flying colors

1. The bibliographic test: examines the biblical manuscripts,

2. The internal test: deals with the claims made by the biblical authors,

3
. The external test: looks to outside confirmation of the biblical content.

Each of which the Bible passes with flying colors. So there is absolutely no logical reason why such compelling evidence should be rejected in favor of your unsubstantiated self-contradictory and extremely biased personal opinions.
I have done nothing of what you have claimed.

😂😂😂

Yet you continue to claim you do not want to start a debate or a discussion. Hmm, 😂😂😂.

You refuse to start a discussion while seemly to be a tad fanatical and bullying in your zest to engage me in such a discussion on this thread. Hmm, why? Cause I am not interested in such a discussion on this thread.

Despite your seemingly accusatory and judgemental attitude, I will remind you, again, I have been talking about the need for more compassion in the world, and I consider compassion a superpower. I have not been talking about JC or the Bible or trying to prove anything.

You have.

I am merely responding to you. And, I am entitled to my own opinion on any subject I choose to respond to you on. But I truly do not care. I nave no passion for a discussion on JC or the Bible with you. Fanatics, bullies, and the like bore me to tears as they lack the capacity to listen.

They rave and rave, on and on, blah, blah, blah; here let me hand you a large shovel and you can start digging a bigger hole. 😊.

No bullying intended. I was merely responding to your controversial comments, such as:
I am a Catholic

There is no way to actually know about the true lives of JC or Judas or anyone else who was alive so long ago.
Claiming to be a Catholic is claiming to be a Christian.

Hannibal, Socrates, and Alexander, lived way before Jesus was born, yet we know plenty about them. So again your premise is seriously flawed.

I didn’t “claim” to be a Catholic. I stated I am a Catholic. I didn’t claim to be a Christian, but I am a Christian, a statement of fact, not a “claim”.

You make so many assumptions, use inflammatory speech, and attempt to start a “fire”. I have a son with DS. I am very used to dealing with an over excited, stubborn, and cognitive impaired male who routinely reinvents what people say to try and fit his version of events. In his version, he is always right. 😂. Unfortunately, he is often wrong. But his misinterpretations, are not deliberate.

I think yours are.

You are again using the Royal we. Do you have multiple personalities or do you claim royal blood? 🤦🏻‍♀️

I said nothing about Hannibal, Socrates, or Alexander. And while you think you know “plenty about them”, you know only what you’ve read about them. Second hand knowledge. Have you heard of project innocent?

Wrongly convicted criminals, who spend years in prison, some who have died, some killed; people who society thought they knew everything about in our so called Information age, and yet, the justice system got it wrong.

Information is flawed, as information comes from people, people are flawed, Books are flawed as they are written by people who are influenced my their own upbringing, prejudices, and place in the world. People similar to you. Just keep digging 😁

You have your own forum @Radrook? Seems like a lonely place.....
Better alone than in bad company such as you. That's why I banned all my former active members. :D
BTW Seems you were banned from this forum once-right? Much too often temporary banning proves to be a mistake. That's why all my bans are always permanent.
