Who Are (Were) Your Favorite T.V. Characters and Who Played Them?

I loved Nurse Jackie with Edie Falco
Happy Valley with Sarah Lancashire
Liked both of them, Edie Falco is a great actor, no matter the role.

Just recently discovered Sarah Lancashire, and liked Happy Valley. Have you seen all three series? We watched the first two, but can't yet find the newest one.

The newest Happy Valley will be on Acorn TV soon. It has been 6 or 7 years since the last season aired! I can’t wait! I’m going to do a free trial of Acorn TV just to see it.

Archie Bunker and the whole clan.
Hey Pepper; I loved Archie Bunker and I have the entire 9 years in my DVD collection. After the series was over, there was a 2 year show called "Archie Bunker's Place." I have the 1st year but the 2nd year is not available.

I loved this show because Archie called "an ace an ace." He was totally politically incorrect; just like me. He did not like the blacks nor did he like educated people. The scared "me too" politically correct society we have to suffer in today would never allow a show like "All In The Family." There was "Meat head", his son-in-law, Gloria, his "little girl" and his scatter brained wife, Edith.

It was all good fun but it would not be allowed today. People have lost their sense of humour. Now, it's all about being "all inclusive." We will see where this "all inclusive" is going to lead us? "Lovely-dovey" society can only go so far!

James Garner could do not wrong. My love of him started with Maverick. Then the Rockford Files. I can’t remember him in anything I didn’t love.
I always liked him too Jules. I remember (at least) one year he was voted the most well liked actor. I forgot what publication...maybe T.V. Guide. It was probably during the time whenThe Rockford Files was on, which I watched, of course. He was very likable indeed.

@PeppermintPatty I remember my son used to be into Knight Rider.

The last writer's strike, 15 years ago, brought in the deluge of reality shows. Ugh, can't stand them. Hope the bigwigs settle soon before who knows what happens!
I'm with you on that Pepper. I can't stand them either...well for the most part. A couple of times my curiosity got the best of me and I watched the Bachelorette and Bachelor. And I do enjoy watching HGTV beachfront home buying shows, which are technically considered reality shows.

I worked for many years supporting people with disabilities .. so I have a special liking and respect for disabled actors. Liz Carr as Clarissa in Silent Witness is at the top of that list ( she also popped up as Fenn in The Witcher )
