Who are you may I ask?

I’m just a guy that is enjoying what few years I have left on this earth. Comedy has always been at the top of my list. Just look at some of the things I have posted. I believe that a smile is much better than a frown. I am pretty much a loner, not including my wife and children. I think this comes from being raised in the country as I had to entertain myself as my step-brother is 11 years younger and we had different ideas.

Retired in 1999 and moved to Florida in 2000. Many health problems along the way with severe COPD leading the pack. That’s me in a nutshell. I’ll keep posting as long as my hand keeps moving and my mind stays clear.

Well if we're looking for random crap... everyone knows that I like to blab.

In the 4th grade we moved, and with that came a new school that was far more small-town/rural. Changing schools often has an impact on kids, so maybe that's why I often found myself standing at one of the corners of the fence at the back of the school grounds. I'd look out over the cornfield beyond that fence and wonder if I'd been dropped here by aliens.

I also remember the school's "first black kid" arriving, and I still remember his name. Surely he felt even more like a fish out of water than I did. I never met him though, being 2 years younger than I was. I don't recall any "kids of color" at my previous school. Things were just very segregated back then but almost entirely due to housing segregation. All schools were local and the only busing was to bring in kids from the hinterlands.

That changed a few years later of course.

I also remember a girl from that school, and remember her name. She was smart and pretty and friendly, and she seemed to like asking me all sorts of questions. It turned out that our dads were friends, though I hadn't seen much of mine for several years after a divorce. I later found out she was "reporting back" to the old man.

I assume she ended up working for the CIA or something. Can you ever trust women, guys? :ROFLMAO:

It puzzles me when people say they can't remember much from their early years.
