Who else hates the time change?

I think it’s stupid. Or at least pointless. Pick a time. Daylight savings or Standard time. I don’t care. I don’t much care for this time change. I sure don’t like that the dogs woke me up an hour early today! Ear flapping, collar jingling, heavy panting. Sigh. It will take a few days to reset their internal clock.

My 3 guys have to get used to the time change again too.......not thrilled waiting an hour extra for meals.

I absolutely hate it. As soon WA, OR & CA have approval, they will be switching to DST year round. We in BC will too. We’ve already voted for it.

We drove around this afternoon saying that the weather forecast for the sun setting was really wrong. We should get home soon to start making dinner. Well duh. Forgot the car clock doesn’t adjust automatically. Will now forgive the forecaster.

I'm okay with it, it signals the seasons to me. In winter it gets dark early and in summer it stays light for a long time. Nice to have it lighter in the morning when I let the dog out. Hubby and I just stayed up an hour later last night, this morning when I looked at my clock I considered my doggie and let him out at an appropriate time. I like the four seasons, this is just part of it.

Like yourself, SeaBreeze, I somewhat embrace the time-change (fall time-change more so than spring).

Seeing nightfall earlier this time of year I find relaxing and soothing, and it helps me change gears from the long days of summer. Fall and winter are my recharge my batteries seasons, a time to read, relax, enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace, and just being me.

I think it's pointless. Some states in my country don't comply with it. Just have us all on the same time. Why not.

About the only logical reason I've heard for these changes is so that the young kids have daylight when walking to school in the Winter. It doesn't have any effects on us...other than going through the house and resetting all the clocks.

I'm in favour of keeping the changing of clocks, even though some of the justiications used fifty years ago have maybe gone, from when the UK flirted with abolishing it, (or did so for at least one year I think?).
