I really miss the Latin Casino in the 1960s, not the gambling casino that is there today. I got to see many great performers in person like Johnny Mathis, Frankie Avalon, Connie Francis, Trini Lopez, Tony Bennett, The 4 Seasons, and Many Many more. There were a lot of after Prom parties there

The Chambers Brothers, The Eagles, Steve Winwood, The Alman Brothers, George Harrison w/Ravi Shankar, ELO, Alice Cooper, Hag Mo Nag, and Phil Collins w/Genesis. I was pretty young at those first 3 or 4 concerts, but I went with my older brother, and you didn't need an ID at those places.

I also went to an all-day outdoor concert at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, CA, and saw Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, and 3 or 4 others I don't remember. I was over drinking age then, and I drank quite a bit that day.

I don't do such things anymore but, Ricky Nelson at some saloon (Crazy Horse?) in Orange county, we saw the second show of three, herded in like cattle after the first and bum rushed out before the third. We also saw Rod Stewart but we were in the nose bleed section sitting on the damp grass. Neither were that enjoyable in my opinion, so, we don't do such things anymore. More power to those that do! Back in the days when homosexuals were called fags or queer.

Thanks for your service.

Old ideas about gay folks are just old ideas. They have no validity at all. Just like any racial prejudice is absurd. We are all people, period.

No, I'm not gay. I'm straight.
Nice gay man on these boards. Showed a lot of kindness to this NJ loser.
He doesn't need to see that comment.

My list would be moderately long, the two most memorable shows were:

Dizzy Gillespie in a small bar in Georgetown, totally unplanned. Walked into the bar and found a $20 cover charge, a lot in the 80s. When I asked why I was told Dizzy would be performing. I'd have paid a lot more. Great show, great performer!

Arlo Guthrie and Pete Seeger, together. Pete was getting old, at one point he apologized and laid down on the stage for a while to rest, but then got back up a few minutes later and kept on. After the show they stayed on stage for probably an hour talking to those of us who stayed behind. A show I won't forget.

Also saw Vin Bruce once, a Cajun singer, not so famous outside of Louisiana. I saw him in Ohio so made a point of sticking around to tell him I was from Louisiana, turned out he knew a couple of my cousins.

I'm not really into going to concerts

But

Saw Eartha Kitt at the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall in Portland OR

What a performer!

I think she was around 80
Did the splits while singing and dancing

Passed away just a few months later

Had a chance to see Ray Charles, but didn't
One of my regrets

Took our teen daughter and her friends to see New Kids on the Block

Damn near went deaf

Teen girls can really scream
