Who is that?

Me too, but I really don't watch any award shows anymore, so it doesn't matter much.

Alright, I'm an old geezer, so I don't know who is the latest incarnation of the world's best singer. But there are a lot of "stars" on award shows and late night talk shows, whom I've never seen or know.

Same here. So much of the entertainment industry these days seems to be aimed at folks much younger than us. I remember when I was younger I NEVER thought I would be old enough to say "Back in my day----" LOL

Years ago,the 3 award shows I watched on a yearly basis were:,The Academy Awards aka"Oscars for movies,,Grammys for music,Emmys for TV
It seems we are now so saturated with too many award shows, e.g "People's Choice,Golden Globes {which honors TV/movies},American Music Award,Country Music,MTV it makes my head spin. In my opinion, they are all 'ripoffs' of the 3 original ones. Sue

It's the same for me, don't know many of them at all. I was a big movie buff at one time, but my interests disappeared with the quality of movies out these days. They are not geared for my demographic. Last movie I saw was one I could hardly wait to see, but then was so disappointed...LA LA Land. And my TV taste is Dateline, 20/20, etc., and not many awards given for that.

The only reason I know a few award winners is because of them being guests on Ellen and late night shows.

Katybug,I still go to the movies though this year I've only seen 10 compared to 27 I saw last yr .I'm tired of sequels/reboots which seem to be the norm this summer
I truly enjoyed "La La Land',because I'm a fan of Emma Stone, happy she won Academy Award for her performance. Sue

Nope, not just you...my daughter in law subscribes to People and I'll occasionally flip through it while I'm there...have no clue who about 90% of the "celebrities"are!
But,I don't watch MTV or any of the reality shows, lol
