Who is your favorite singer of all time?

She's not my favourite singer don't get me wrong.. but overall she has so many great songs.. that if I could only listen to one singer then it would be her... following a close..very close second... would be thw Everly Brothers. They were my mother's Era but I still love their music ...thein after that probably Neil Diamond
All terrific choices! You have great taste in music! 🎶

That's an easy one for me to answer. Back in 1970 when I was 17, I heard a woman's voice on my radio that sounded like an angel. It was Karen Carpenter who with her brother, Richard had formed the musical group, The Carpenters. With classics like Close To You and We've Only Just Begun, I was hooked for life by her voice. All these years later, I still listen to all their music. I have all their albums but find their recordings sound much better on YouTube than my broken down record player. It still pains me how early in her life we lost her and the sad events that led to one of the most beautiful singers's life ending so tragically.
Ok, members, I would love to hear about your favorites. I think this could a very fun post as we all look back at singers who made unforgettable songs that madeView attachment 461174 millions of listeners very happy.
I loved her. I still remember what I was doing when I heard the news she had died.

That's a tough one. I can't pinpoint just one. It depends on what style of singing is being done. I like Kris Kristofferson a lot. He's like Willie Nelson. Their voices aren't your typical wonderful voice that sings in key, but their unique voice fits their style of music. I love to hear Willie Nelson also. I love Allison Krauss. Her voice is so angelic. I guess it's impossible for me to have a favorite.

. . . was told I could only listen to one singer ever agin..it would have to be Barbra Streisand
Glad to know someone who actually spelled her name right. When she was a newcomer of sorts, I listened to everything she did, over and over - "My Melancholy Baby," "Happy Days Are Here Again," "People," - - - when it was not cool by others in my age group. My all time favorite of hers is "Evergreen." (circa 1976)

yes it even irritates me when I see people misspelling her name..so I can only imagine how SHE feels..lol

I have to agree with you Evergreen is my favourite of hers... Stoney End a close second... but I also love this one....

Very nice - that's one I missed, so thanks for sharing. (Looked it up: duet with Gibb / 2005)

Going way back Bing Crosby had a great voice. I also like Vince Gill.
I liked Vince Gill in the beginning of his career but not recently. I've gone off him....

I like his ex wife's music much better lol...

This sog sums up my whole life now....

Vince's Ex wife is the guitarist of the sisters

I like a lot of the ones posted but I saw Tom Jones in person and I like his songs. For example, I'll Never Fall in Love Again and She's A lady. He was quite the showman.

I like Country Music and like a lot of the songs. Believe by Brooks and Dunn is one I like.

How about the big hit of his, "It's Not Unusual? ". Great choice by the way!
