Who Or What Wakes You Up In The Morning?

Your husband & Nathan should not expect a miracle overnight. I don't know how long it took before I realized the difference. Give the natural a chance.
Thank you for letting me know. :)

I have already mentioned it to him and we're going to pick some up for him tomorrow.

I also suffer from the only can sleep about 4 hours at a stretch syndrome. If by chance I don't wake up, then my big ol' dog wakes me up by starting to fuss; if the fussing doesn't work, he'll lick me a couple of times and if even that doesn't work he'll step right in the middle of me to get off the bed. He sleeps on the other side of the bed, all stretched out like a person does, with his head on the pillow. Can he get off the bed on his own side? No, of course not.

I don't have to worry about taking him outside to pee, because he has a doggie door and comes and goes as he pleases, but if he steps right in the middle of me (he's 70+ pounds) it is a very effective wake-up call.

I worked strange shifts most of my adult life, some things can only be done at 0-dark-thirty don't you know.
It haunts me to this day, I can wake up at 2am wide awake or sleep till 6, but it's never consistent. Many times it's a bad dream that wakes me.
I worked strange shifts for several years while I was in the Navy. It is very hard on your body. You can't eat right, sleep right or live a normal life with your family. Those days when you wind up with a "double back", two 8 hour shifts in a 24 hour period are tough. Years of that can take a toll on your long term health.

I wake up the second a little stream of light enters the room that's why It takes me forever to prepare the room before I go to bed. I have double blackout curtains that I clip with a clothespin incase a bit of light gets through. Phone is turned to the wall because it has a little light on it.
Clock is on the floor next to the bed.
If all goes well I'll sleep until 9AM because I read into the wee hours of the morning.
Hubbys schedule is completely the opposite. Thank goodness for the extra bedroom because one of us would have killed the other by now.

My shifts rotated every three months at the time, so just when you "started" to get used to the cycles you'd be placed on a different shift.
