Who owns or uses a cane/walking stick?

My first cane I found left in my store by the previous shopkeeper. All metal. I named 'her' Erica. Some people here will know why. I also have a floral folding one, like pictured above. Mine is royal blue background.
 

Maybe 20 years ago out of boredom I bought a wood carving kit, had decided to try my carving skills. Chose walking sticks. I found suitable raw material along a lake shore. 1st & only try a snake, included several runes, leaves, bands, rubber tip & laced leather handle. Must say it looked pretty good. Was offered & refused $80 from a gentleman sitting next to me at a lodge in Yellowstone. Still have the stick. Never used it much.

Meeting of 2 fools, the 1 who carved & refused & the 1 who offered.

I have two canes which I have kept around in recent years because I use them to recover from injuries. I wish I had a cane with a tripod type bottom that will stand up on its own. I've seen people with these at the grocery store and they look like something I could use when injured.
