Who still sends paper Christmas cards?

The practice seems to have diminished over the years. I remember as a kid selling boxes of Christmas cards to fund some of the H.S. band's trips. We sold cartons of 100 or 200 cards each! People sent out lots of Christmas cards in those days, and of course postage was only a few cents. These days we probably send out 20 or so.

TBH I'm not impressed by getting Christmas greetings by Email, or even one of those E cards. It's nice to receive the wishes, but it really took little effort on the part of the sender. Soon folks will start using AI generated greetings!...:(

And it's always nice to receive a little note or letter along with a paper card.

Although I haven't sent any in awhile, I still get one every Christmas from my landlord and cherish it.
 
We still send Christmas cards every year! It is our tradition and unless the post office refuses to deliver Christmas cards, we will continue as long as we can.
 

About 15 years ago, I had this large list of people I sent cards to. I dawned me that some I hadn't seen in 30-40 years. Instead of friendship, I was sending a card more as a duty. They sent me one, so........ I stopped sending cards to most. Things change, I finally stopped sending any cards.
Bah Humbug!!!!
I think today, you can keep in touch through social media, rather than a card at Xmas.

We ordered batteries and Woodstove baffles and they havent budged yet so you might want to check that out.

We mail out a lot of cards. My wife is the correspondent in the family. In addition the family and friends, she good at spotting people who are lonely or in pain and adds them to the Christmas card list. Every card includes at least a note; often a more lengthy letter. I'm so proud of her.

That is lovely. Good for your wife.
 
My wife sends a card with a letter, but the letter is not like they used to be. She just writes a few lines and encloses it with the card. She has done that since we have been married.

Yes, that's a sad problem many of us have. The older we get, the fewer family members that we have remaining. I still have my daughter and her children. But I only have one first cousin left. Nevertheless I have some friends I like to send to. To me it doesn't feel like Christmas without sending cards, putting up a tree and decorations, putting lights outside. It's pretty much like the classic song, "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas".
 
This year, I made the mistake of buying "fold-over" Christmas cards - the kind with a Christmas scene on the front, but blank inside. They are to be folded at the crease in the center, then I had to write my own message in each card. It took 6 hours to finish 31 cards. Won't do that again. And just one other thought: I do not like to receive any cards with glitter. It gets on everything.
