Who to call after storm for roof repair?

My roof only lost a few shingles in the recent hurricane but I know I can’t leave it like that. I need suggestions on who to call to give me direction as to how to proceed. I’m sure if I call a roofing company, *of course* they’ll say “you need a whole new roof”

So handymen and ladies, who is the best person to call for advice? A general contractor?

I always called my local roofing company.
I was never told I needed a whole new roof... until the time I actually DID need one.

Well, that might be an option. I just don’t know squat about repairing roofs That’s why I need more info before I start calling ppl

I’d call roofing professionals also. At least they will know how to install new ones. Just tell them, straight up, that you don’t your entire roof done at this moment.

Do you happen to know anyone who is a real estate agent? They generally know people who can take care of such things.

I would start with a roofer, preferably the roofer that did the existing roof.

If they try to upsell you on a new roof say no thanks and try someone else.
