Who went shopping today??

I took my senior Mom shopping. We went to the Paper Store, Michaels, Walgreens and Whole Foods. I didn't get anything except food, but mom got Xmas wreaths so it wasn't a totally wasted effort.

I didn't go shopping. I slept late and don't have enough cash or money in my bank account to get anything right now. Probably will do some shopping on Monday.

I ALMOST went shopping, but I found the bottle of olives in the back of the fridge, so everything's just hunky-dory now.

Just waiting for the sun to get over the yardarm so I can enjoy Alex Trebek

I just got paid. After the checks clear I'll go to the mall. A few things for the kids, Walgreens has nifty gift packs for $5 a pop, then maybe a book or three from B and N.com...I have coupons.

I needed to pick up my prescriptions then I stopped at the grocery store all about 20 minutes of of shopping. course I missed my bus by 30 seconds due to a customer arguing with the cashier over her coupons after she'd been rung up and should have gone to customer service. That process took up an extra 5 minutes, so I ended up having to wait another hour for the bus that went by as I tried to make a mad dash for it, but, all I could do was, let hope die as I watched it, stop, pick someone up and go on its merry way. Weekdays the bus runs every half hour, no not today, Sat. Sigh.

Anyway, it was still worth the trip if I didn't want to starve to death, the meds could have waited, really. :D.

The Spousal Equivalent went to a sporting goods store to check out a gun sale, so I tagged along. Luckily, there was a Hobby Lobby in the shopping center, so I spent a fun half hour wandering the aisles and admiring the Christmas crafts that I'm realistic enough to know that I would never get around to finishing.

Then we went to Steak 'n Shake for lunch, where I got a little Christmas shopping done by buying a couple of gift cards for my granddaughter who I just introduced to the restaurant when I was up in Ohio. She loves the milk shakes AND the hamburgers and there's one on the way home from work.

Yay me!

I never take anyone with me. Hubby and son want to shop and leave. Daughter wants to buy everything. I'm happy going snail pace and if I forget I backtrack. My son is the worst. He'll grab my arm in Barnes and Noble, come on...the traffic will be awful...you can go online. If I browse he knows it might be six more hours minimum.

I went to the grocery store, and then ran into Wal-Mart for a couple of things. I was surprised how few people were in either store. I guess most people got it out of their systems yesterday on Black Friday.

There was one garage sale today but didn't find anything there. Then we stopped at the supermarket for bananas and a lottery ticket and walked through the mall. Afterward we went to the Lions big Christmas yard sale in the other mall and my wife bought a used cookbook. This afternoon I took my usual meander around Walmart (mostly for the exercise) but I did buy a magazine.

As regards Christmas shopping, we both have everything we want and can't think of a darn thing either of us want. Isn't that a sad state of affairs? And I bought a lottery ticket today. Doesn't make sense does it? Back to Christmas shopping, I think it will likely come down to getting each other prepaid credit cards. Maybe we'll find something that strikes our fancy after Christmas.

I can relate to that, Butterfly. We went to Aldis to get groceries and there were about four people in the store. Didn't have to wait to get checked out. Stopped at Publix to pick up their bakery bread, and the same there. Very quiet.

I will do the grocery shopping Monday. I don't drive so our son and I shop together. Hubby likes window shopping but doesn't like grocery shopping so our system works well for us.

Went to the grocery store and it looked like a "ghost town"! Everyone must have been at the malls. It was easy in and out. I plan to do some shopping online Monday. Matter of fact, I hope to do most of my Christmas shopping online!
