Who? Who? Who? Who?

Thanks for the pictures . It’s nice seeing a variety. Here’s another picture we have of a barred owl we took on the way to our walk last year.

Years ago my husband and I saw small little owls all floating flocked on the outskirts of a city’s perimeter. I’ve never seen them again so believe that they were migrating. Photo taken from the internet.

One of the greatest bird sightings I've ever seen was back in the 80's when -35°F was a common occurrence which could last for weeks, today known as a polar vortex, with deep snow through AK, Canada, and the northern Rockies a massive group, counting into the low hundreds, of snowy owls migrated into the open prairie and wetlands south of town. They were hunting field mice, voles, rabbits, small birds, and waterfowl. They stuck around till the cold snap abated. It was magnificent
and we would have never known about it unless we were out hunting cottontail rabbits ourselves.

Pic grabbed from the net.
