Who would you most like to sit next to

My husband, ......preferably on a flight to Australia ......

Jacqueline Smith for me, Harrison Ford for my wife......same flight/4-wide seating. Wife and I would be in the middle, next to each other.

Ok, well, since I'm terrified to fly, it would be my soulmate (ya know, like in a Hallmark movie) rugged, handsome, charismatic, intelligent man, who can fix anything, loves animals, & loves me!

Anybody other than the two sumo wrestlers I was squeezed between for 14 hrs
I had armrests, I just couldn't use them

I hate flying but if I had to I would want to be sitting next to a man that was a fantastic parachute jumper that of course had a parachute with him and would ask me to jump with him if there were problems on the airplane.

My daughter, I couldn’t imagine spending 12 hours ‘up close and personal’ with anybody else on earth

I fly a lot..I like flying, I hate the airport experience tho'..

I almost always fly with my husband, and that suits me because he's not a talker, and I like peace and quiet when I'm flying because after the initial take off, and then the approach to landing where I enjoy the view and take photos out of the window .., I'm usually asleep... there's nothing much else to do on a flight , so I wouldn't wish for someone who talks a lot!!

Well, other than the fantasy of having Jacqueline and Harrison by us, we pretty much always get me a window seat so I can look out. At first, the scenery is pretty cool, but as the airline goes higher up, and above the clouds, the scenery is gone. But, during that time and part of the flight, we do talk to each other. Our last flight from Jacksonville to Denver, the guy sitting next to my wife was a Pastor watching an episode of Columbo on his laptop.

We hadn't flown since 2008, so it was interesting. Besides that, we both had our cowboy hats on and really sort of stuck out among the other passengers. Oh well.

I would be happy sitting with a tweenager, they generally don't take up much room, can be interesting to talk with, are usually absorbed with some sort of device, sleep quite a bit, don't have much personal baggage or any ulterior motives and still have a slight fear/distrust of old people!

That's an interesting description, AB. Yes, those characteristics make for a quiet seat-mate.

Either somebody who was very interesting to listen to,
or else somebody who only wanted to sleep.

Mike.
