Well, I think when one sends HATE from their minds, focused toward you, it is received.

In my 70's, I designed a voo-doo doll called "ex-husband", complete with long pins to stick in it.
But, haha! I thought better of putting it out in the market. (wrong thinking), so I threw them all away.
(I've grown since then.)

This can be reversed. Instead of hate, send love and blessings to everyone, especially your enemies
because they need this love the most.
