Why are the majority of dog owners white people?

I don't know if it's the same where you live, but around here, it's nigh on impossible to see anyone other than white people walking dogs..

It seems that every second household has a dog here. I just looked out of the window..there were 3 seprate dogs being walked past my house .. 2 single people.. and a couple.. .. and this is very common to see

I have never seen a Black, Indian or Asian person with a dog ...anyone have any clue why ?
If the majority of people where you live are white, then you will see a lot of white people walking their dogs.

Where I live, there are many different people walking their dogs on a daily basis. African Americans, Asians, Hispanics and other nationalities love their dogs and walk them all the time.

My dogs, past and present are/were very dog and people friendly, and greeted dogs who were walking with all different types of owners. One thing I noticed we all had in common, we loved our dogs and were happy to interact with others. Life is good for dog lovers and their pets. đź’™

From my personal observation all paid dogwalkers are young White females, same in dog grooming shops and animal shelters. The few times I have seen Blacks walking, playing with or owning a dog are young Black pre-teens in suburban areas. That's all I know.

I don't do intagram... but I mean not just my personal area but everywhere I've ever been in the uk. I mean go into Lodnon, you will barely see anyone other than white people walking dogs... for example..

...and certainly where I live there are NO dog owners who aren't white.. at least they're not walking their dogs if there are...
Are you saying that only white people walk their dogs in Europe? Are you saying non-whites just don't walk their dogs at all there? Strange thread, IMO, from my life experiences.

Europe ?.. Europe isn't a country it's a Continent...

I said people where I live who have dogs all seem to be white, I have very rarely seen anyone non-white walking dogs ... it was just an observation... nothing more..

Pardon my typo and vision limits. Didn't mean to offend, just gave my personal life view.

well as a family of dog owners past and present , and with a daughter and her partner whose business were dog related, I know all about dog owners.. and training clases and all sorts .. doggie parks.. you name it, I know it.. I can't change the fact that there are so few non-white dog owners.. I just have noticed this over a period of years..

...and like I said earlier in the thread, my daughter had boarding kennels and a training school..for over 12 years...as you know SB... and rarely if ever had anyone who wasn;t caucasian, go and board their dog.. or use their training facilities.. ..and that was in Spain not even in the UK. The spanish own dogs but they rarely walked them..leaving them just to their own devices to wander free......

My daughter is still very involved in the doggie world.. she still trains animals.. she still goes to competitions even now she's back in the UK.. and she says the same thing..rare to see anyone of any colour owning or walking a dog.......
