Why do some men not respond to emails?

It would help if they said something, then I know they received and understood my message. Recently I had occasion to email 2 male acquaintances and received no response to either. The latter hardly ever responds, but I am at a loss to explain the former.

Maybe they are very busy.. or having problems with their devices?

My emails are mostly business, and not urgent, so I don't check email every day. Very few people I know contact me by email anymore. Maybe that explains it.

Many people both male and female don't monitor email as diligently these days as in the past. We have become world of instant message and instant response. Personally, I find that more of my email is spam than worthwhile messages. My doctors and financial contacts use secure email portals, and I get text alerts when there a message to read.

I am in the category of reviewing and responding to emails daily if needed. I generally get 50+ spam/junk emails daily that I quickly scan then delete.

If you find it you can move it to inbox.

My X husband was a devil for not answering emails or texts ... even to family members.. I don't why he ignored them but I aways had to remind him that he had to reply to DD..or someone... and weeks miight go by,

the only emails he actually replied to without being reminded was work..or financial...

I don't often check email, because I seldom get an interesting email. It's mostly spam and gmail all throws it in the same bunch. Most people call or text. Email is for if I ordered a package or something.

I check my email daily. But I rarely get any responses from anyone. Between email and messaging I finally gave up on ever getting a response. I just don't bother anymore. And for the record it isn't just men.

You don't have time to email back and forth? What on earth do you do all day that keeps you that busy?

it is because they think your emails are not important, or you are not important to them...as simple as that.

If you absolutely need a response, you can always add one or more questions at the end of your email, so the recipients have a reason to response and answer your question.

I tell people if they absolutely need to get ahold of me right now, don't email. (especially at work)
That's why we have phones.

My son in law does not usually respond to emails, unless he sees that it might be something urgent. He is busy with his job and family, but is always willing to help if needed.

Maybe try a text instead. It seems folks these days seem more willing to text than type emails. That is the case with my son in law.

Ask if they want 50.000 euro. If they then all of a sudden respond, you know they were too lazy to answer the other times and then say: it was just a question for an interview.

Maybe their wife is jealous.
A guy I hung out with at school once emailed me. We always hung out with a small group including his girlfriend. Hadn't heard from him in years, but I had sent him a card cause I got a son, so he emailed to congratulate me and said they broke up, but he found someone else and they were happily married . It was quite a long email. Really nice. I wanted to respond, but I could not, because my ex was jealous and had thrown the email away.

That's what I was going to say. Those men probably aren't sure what you're email means and what you really want from them. And that's because they've learned through experience.

I look to see who the sender is. That alone decides if I open it or not.

Well, it kind of does...

If they are personal, the reasons for not responding are different than, if they are for business.

I don't know why people don't respond to emails - I don't really use email to communicate and I don't check my personal email more than once a week. IF I did get an email from a friend; I would respond - but it might take some time.
