Why do some people be shouty loud?

Believe me, we’d be happy to get her hearing aids but she absolutely refuses them. I bought her a set of head phones to use with the tv and she wouldn’t even try to adjust to them.

But that’s ok be I decided to use the tv head phones myself and I love them.
I have a set of Sony headphones that receive a signal from our Smart TV. I can listen to anything on the TV, including streaming services like Prime and Netflix. By doing this, my Wife can watch her programs on her I pad with normal sound settings. A long time ago, my Father who was a Canadian Army Great War veteran, had a apartment neighbor sue him in civil court because of Dad's TV sound being so high. The Justice ruled in favor of the neighbor, and he ordered Dad to have hearing aids fitted, or face a $3000 fine, if he didn't. Dad relented, and the hearing aids solved the too loud noise problem with the man in the next suite. JimB.

Most people who talk loud are hearing impaired. These same people monopolized conversations in groups and they have trouble hearing others talk. I used to do both but now that I have cochlear implants everyone else always seems to be too loud. Some people just talk loud and that is the way they are.
Sorry - not true. Some people, including children are just naturally loud. It has to do with their lung structure, facial bone structure, and even the strength of their vocal cords.

It also helps if they are raised being allowed to talk and sing and use those vocal cords.

I have had a old friend who is very loud like a radio that won't turn off. He is not hearing impaired. Loves to talk more than anything at work and with me. I have to put the phone a foot from my ear on the phone! We rarely talk now for other reasons and that is fine His conversation was rather entertaining

My wife and I both use headsets and as we share this home with our daughter's family, it works well for all of us. An added bonus, for us at least, is the ability for me to watch a "shoot 'em up" western or gangster movie while my wife sits on the couch reading.

I agree with the others that a lot of times it's hearing issues. I'm scheduled to get my hearing checked shortly. I know I have hearing problems, not counting when my sinuses plug up my ears. At times I talk loudly without realizing it until my husband tells me to use my "inside voice".

Hearing loss can also lead to other problems like balance when walking. I've also read that 8% of dementia patients have been linked to hearing loss, but the connections isn't known yet.

My husband has only one hearing aid & wears it daily.

I have hearing aids in both ears. I love them, took time to get used to them, but now I can participate in conversations so much better. They saved my from getting fired at work as I did not know I was having so much trouble. Finally, my boss asked me if I had a hearing problem developing. I did and after I got the hearing aids, the problem was gone (or not noticeable to others), and my boss was happy I took the necessary steps....
