At this age I would only have surgery that’s absolutely required because of the memory risk.
Elsie this is prcisely the second stages of dementia.. they start to say, they're not concerned about it, if it happens to them , then it happens.. no use worrying over it.Thinking outside the box........Can a person, who is experiencing Alzheimer's, possibly be convinced that the confusion they may be experiencing is fine. To just allow themselves to accept it as normal, this in order to allay their fear of it?? Or if it did help, it could not be sustained?
Thankyou, hollydolly.Elsie this is prcisely the second stages of dementia.. they start to say, they're not concerned about it, if it happens to them , then it happens.. no use worrying over it.
This is simply and alarmingly the effect of the dementia.. because most of the time they don't remember they have it, ..so at this stage the dementia sufferer is the one always in an upbeat mood while the family /carer, is stressed about it all..
so how does that account for people like my granny, who never smoked a day in her life, would have thought fast food was someone running with their dinner.... never ate or stored anything in plastic.... and yet got Dementia...It most likely has a lot to do with diet and drinks of the lifetime. Junk is junk.
Avoiding Tobacco's, Plastic containers, Sodas, fast foods, snacks instead of wholesome Veggies, Fruits +
clean pork and Steak, Chicken, Turkey Proteins an clean water not contained in
Plastic bottles. Ladies store bought Tomatoes suk.
== decent Pork and Steak.
Doll, It's just common-sense stuff. I don't know her specific Family pass down death problems. Most all stuff today processed is harmful.so how does that account for people like my granny, who never smoked a day in her life, would have thought fast food was someone running with their dinner.... never ate or stored anything in plastic.... and yet got Dementia...
My grandad otoh smoked and drank heavily all his life.. and didn't get it...
yes PT..I'm not disputing processed food, smoking et al..is bad for you..all I'm saying it's not necessarily what causes dementia... because my granny and thousands of others who've lived a 'clean' life.. got dementia anyway.. and people like my grandfather.. altho he never ate a processed food in his life.. did smoke heavily, and was bordering on alcoholism, never got dementia..Doll, It's just common-sense stuff. Most heavy habits smokers pass early, look to Eddie Van Halen for proof. I look at my genealogy past with my parents and Grandparents, etc.
And I know I will be lucky to get to 85. So, I live every day. I rest when I need, I can give a shit.
yes that's a good argument but what about young people who get it?.. and there's more and more young people being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers..Why wouldn't it include memory loss when everything is failing?
I was 84 when I got my cell phone.I notice it and try not to worry.
I am slowly working to ‘childproof’ my life so my poor memory won’t do much damage.
Relax and enjoy yourself.
