Why do people collect fridge magnets? Well, why do they collect cat figurines, or teapots, or other bric-a-brac? Because they want to, that's why. That's good enough for me.

Oh, it's a wonder my refrigerator doesn't fall over forward from the weight of the magnets on there. Mostly holding up the grandbabies' artwork, of course. And some to remind me of trips. And others, just because......

Just on the top right side of my freezer portion, I have about 8 magnets holding up family pictures.

I have a couple that hold family photos and a few in the kitchen drawer that have hooks on them. When the hubby or I get a greeting card which isn't to often these days I punch a hole in the corner of the card, get out the hook magnets and display them for awhile.

I actually collect fridge magnets. I have some from other countries that friends have sent over the years. Jamaica, Aruba, Bermuda...even some from Japan. I use them to hang stuff on the fridge that's important but mostly for decoration. I enjoy them.

No, less nickel in the stainless steel is more likely. Magnets work great on both
my avacado and copper colored refrigerators. (Joking but remember those?)

We've got a few photos on the top part of the fridge, with a calendar for the month, and a couple of Recycle charts on the bottom part. Take-out menus on the side.

Some years ago I had several, maybe 5 or 6 to hang notes or photos. I only have one now that holds a photo of grandsons.

Ours are to remind us of the memories of our travels. We enjoy them every day. They were all thoughtfully selected at the time as a keepsake.
We have several favorites such as the tango couple from Buenos Aires, the Nazca Lines from our flight in Peru. and about a hundred more.
We are more than thankful for the memories they represent.

Several friends decorate their fridge with magnets,not as bad as the picture,but why do people do this,each to their own,but why would you?

You might as well ask, "why do people have tattoos?" I have been asked why I have almost a hundred Aloha/Hawaiian shirts. What I don't have, is a shirt with pictures of fridge magnets. Now there's a thought.
