nope already retired . but our planning is always being improved upon and nudged for better results with less dependency on the whims of markets and taxes . there is also so much myth and wrong information spewed on forums i try to correct it and explain things to folks so they can make better decisions .
when you have little or no pensions and you are on the YOYO PLAN (you are on your own ) there is just so much to know .especially here , where your fair share of taxes is whatever you can legally figure out you owe .
all the tools and laws are in place but it is up to you to figure it all out . most planners today are useless and not well schooled in the retirement end yet . they are only really familiar with the accumulation years as they followed the boomers
I joined mainly for the Word Games, which I really enjoy, I usually skim through to see new topics posted each day and read relevant posts, replying if I have something to contribute
The members of Senior Forums seem to respect others opinions and varied views plus I've not encountered any unpleasantness in comparison to other sites I've visited![]()

I don't "participate" in the Word Games...but they can be of great value as people get older. These games help make a person "think"....which can be a great way to stay mentally alert. It's a given that the brain is just like a muscle, in that if you "don't use it, you lose it". I get my "mental" exercise by playing online poker...matching wits with others in these card games helps keep my old Noodle from deteriorating.
