Why Is The British Royal Family The Only Royal Family Always In The Headlines?

They've got quiet ; humble pananche by enlarge - are still loved by the majority of brits and do the right thing most of the time by getting out and making contact with the rest of the population not just in uk but the commonwealth too. They have a great promotional team who work hard at it and they bring some drama into our dull aimless lives that's like watching a colored movie in the raw! Charles can do what his mother left him to do and William will be able to do so too - harry is a worry!! as is Andrew!!

well there are some anti=monarchists in britain but we just ignore them - the pro-monarchists feel a sorta family affinity - one big happy family and so do many of the commonwealth countries as well as loving a free nosh up in the palace occasionally?

when the late queens father died and she was crowned she simple said " I know dedicate my time and life to the people of the United Kingdom and those in the commonwealth. and she meant it 24 hrs a day for life - that is some undertaking and that's why we loved her and also some of her mishappen family members! And I do believe Charles will do the same and when he is ready will undoubtedly hand over to his son William. and so it should forever more be so? this affinity we have now is a sorta magic spell - hard to explain any further?

Speaking for myself, I think the older generation here in Canada still likes and respects the British royals and what they stand for or at least what they stood for. The young generation here want to ignore history and change everything around. I see changes on the horizon. It's not really "my world" anymore. The crowd with the tatoos, the ring in the nose and the rap music are now ruling the country. I wish them luck. They are going to need it!

I remember a time, long ago ... when America was in love with this royal couple.
Their love story, and everything they did, was all over our news and magazines.

I was going to say. Grace Kelly gave Monaco a more than a blip on the screen.

Let's face it, they are a colorful bunch. To make matters worse, the king's youngest son marries an American actress who feels the firm is made up of old fogies, and she intends to modernize the entire group. This, of course, is laughable, and when no one pays attention to her, well, she gets her back up and convinces her dimwitted hubby to follow her to America. Here, they can plot to their heart's content as to how to create their own monarchy in the good old US of A. Lots of luck with that one.
