Why Is The Needle So Much Longer Than Other Needles?

My flu shot needle was a stub. The Covid needle looks to be over an inch long and that must be why there is shoulder pain after.

You're right about that (the shoulder pain). I suppose the longer needle ensures the vaccine gets where it has to go, into the muscle and not just under the skin or in a layer of fat.

Maybe it needs to be longer to inject that microchip.

Just joking, I don't believe they are injecting anything other then the vaccine.

No wonder I'm not rushing to get this vaccine. Besides the issues they are having with these vaccines and questionable outcomes...I hate needles!.

This needle was tiny compared with the thing my orthopedist sticks into my shoulder to inject a steroid for arthritis relief.
