"Under new state guidelines, any household cleaning or personal care products that have more than two parts per million (PPM) of 1,4-Dioxane is now banned. An even stricter limit of 1 ppm for 1,4-Dioxane in household cleaning and personal care products will take effect at the end of 2023."

I wonder if other states will eventually follow suit.

Probably and mine will be one of them. Why can't they leave us alone for awhile? Haven't we all been through enough recently? I am so tired of these constant manufactured crises. It just never ends.

Oh, Diva, you should know by now that Murph will not be outdone by NY.

Yep...Gain and Arm & Hammer...the only two I use are on the list. I am gonna research if I can still get them through Amazon. But I do have plenty now

Is it used for to make the scent of a product?

I remember the phosphate bans etc. Europe didn't ban phospates for several decades after the US banned it and they don't seem to be suffering worse for the wear.

If there are cancer causing chemicals in the products we are using, I think it's good to get rid of them. The carcinogens also get into our water system and cause more health issues.

I'd like to see pesticides and herbicides that people use on their lawns done away with also. If we don't learn from our past mistakes, we will kill off all humanity, wildlife, plant and ocean life. Aren't there enough people suffering with and dying from cancer without adding cancer causing chemicals to home products which expose from babies to the elderly right in our homes?

Of course, I don't know if those chemicals in the soap causes cancer, but should we wait until the ground water is saturated with the stuff to find out? And, if it turns out those chemicals do cause cancer, what do you say to future cancer suffers, "You're dying so my clothes had the fresh look?" And companies are adding and subtracting ingredients all the time. Come on, "It's new and improved". One more out wouldn't kill them.

Yes. Manufactured by Tide, not the gov't.
