Why was I recently banned?

I was banned for a few days because the moderator said I was continuing to make personal attacks on other members, which I wasn't. My most recent postings had mentioned how many nice people are on this forum and that this is a good forum, therefore I have absolutely no idea why I was banned.
 

I find moderating to be a thankless often annoying task but a necessary one. It is rarely done as well as it is here where the touch is light. I suggest you ask a friend to look at the remarks which resulted in your ban. But litigating a result you don’t like in the open forum is very bad form. Some places that would get you banned for sure.
 
Let it go, as frustrating as it is feeling to you, nothing wrong with
feeling what we feel, or why, but if admin/mod had made the decision
ban you for a short while, then it is said and done, even if you might not
agree. Take a deep breath, enjoy this forum, and move forward...

Also try to keep in mind, that challenging admin/mods is not a good
idea to do on Senior Forums, and specifically on topics/threads.

But I don't know what remarks got me banned.

Then I guess by posting this I'll be permanently banned. Goodbye. It's no great loss at all. I no longer like or enjoy this forum.

@Candi1 I only think (and just my thoughts, which does not mean I am right)
making a thread or any further threads about this specific topic might bring you
problems, BUT I don't think that necessarily means you will be banned for this
most current topic thread.

You've said goodbye to us in your above post and that you are leaving this forum.
So, with that said, hope you enjoy your next forum, and it is more to your liking.

This admins Name is @Matrix ..he is the only one with the power to remove your posting privileges.. if you want to know why you were suspended click on his name and send him a PM.. he's not an Ogre he will tell you if you ask politely..

However you don't seem to enjoy this forum.. so I hope you find somewhere that's more to your liking

Well said. We appreciate a steady infusion of new members but it isn't like we are desperate for bigger numbers.
 
I got suspended from this forum for a few days for making a political comment.

It didn't bother me one wit. I post on other forums as well, so it wasn't like I was tossed into the desert without a canteen. I figure you just ain't livin right if you don't get suspended at least once in a while. ;)
 
I like your comment, Beezer. I sent a PM to the moderator who didn't even reply. I just wanted to know why I was suspended since I was no longer making hostile comments to anyone. If I did stay here (which I probably won't) I would have to be wary of ever commenting again in fear of it being offensive to someone on this forum. I'm considered a nice person in real life but in this forum I seem to be considered something else. It's a very unsettling experience. My next move is up to the moderator. but I do feel very unwelcome here.

Sometimes the Mod just gives a time out so posters can cool their heels. It's nothing to get alarmed about. Like I said, I've also been suspended for a spell.
 
I am going to wade in, at my own peril. I understand the feeling of confusion at not knowing why you were temporarily banned. However, I would also be grateful for not being permanently removed so I would surmise it was about posting rules. Many times we say things innocently without realizing the remarks might incite others and before you know it, there is an all out brou-ha-ha. Just accept that a mistake was made somewhere and being the gracious person you probably are, Candi, just move on. I do hope you will stay on.
