Why when it says “tear here’....

Packaging would be a lot cheaper to make for if the companies that make them would just stop making them that way, and then maybe the price of the product would go down too. "Clam" packaging is the absolute worst. I don't even fight it anymore, I just grab the scissors or boxcutter.

You know those hangers you get when you buy a pair of pants that have a clip at each end? Those clips usually snap off the hanger pretty easily; find the thin spot and bend the clip back right there until it breaks off. I use them to close all my so-called "resealable" bags.

I've lost count of how many times I've made the effort to open something, then grabbed a pair of scissors to get it open, as I say to myself, "When will I ever learn to just start with the scissors and save the aggravation?" 😬

We hold onto the hope that someone finally got it right. Believe it or not, when my son's grade school held a science and engineering event he won a prize for his project - replacing the inner bag of a box of cereal with a large ziplock bag. haha!

One time the bottle top on the Airborne gummies I bought didn't want to come off after the whole push down and turn routine. I ended up stabbing it with a knife and crow barring it open. I wasn't throwing $8 worth of product away.

It isn't just the small stuff either in the past few years I have had to go into the garage and get my "oil filter wrenches" to get the lid off of a jar. I am fairly strong and have a good grip, but I am no match for the 700 lbs Gorillas they hire to torque those lids down.

They're called machines.
