I thought the fault for this problem was with CloudStrike. Microsoft software was affected by the mistake, but did not cause the mistake to be made. I could be wrong. There’s a lot of overlap of responsibilities in the complex world of networked devices.

A single update from CrowdStrike , a major provider of cybersecurity software, caused outages for millions of users of Microsoft Windows devices worldwide. Major airlines including Delta Air Lines , United Airlines and American Airlines halted departures overnight.

Until I read up on this development I had always thought the "blue screen of death" (BSOD) was a term only my ex and I used. Now I see it's a fairly common term.

Oh yes i's actually a technical term believe it or not.... oh I remember when I had Windows, that bluddy BSOD was a nightmare.... now with Mac we get the spinning beach ball... but nowhere nearly as often as the Blue screen of death with Windows...

I was fortunate (?) enough to get it only once, and my PC never recovered. I had to buy an entirely new one. It was a very old computer, though, and very far overdue for replacement. I was pretty anxious when I saw that blue screen.

I believe you are correct.
