Wildfires in My Area

Oh my goodness, fires are extremely deadly and dangerous. I hope you, your in-laws, you family and neighbors can stay safe. Thinking of you, please take care.

Thanks! Some of the in-laws actually evacuated to Reno; the Peppermill is putting them up for $50/night (which is a third of what they usually charge but you'd think the Peppermill could afford to charge even less but whatever). 2 different friends here in town have already evacuated. I think I'm going to sleep in my regular clothes tonight. (I'm getting too old for this sh*t, sigh.)

I have a guest bedroom and if you don’t mind 2 little Maltese you are welcome. I actually hosted a stranger from another forum and it was fun.

Not yet we’re 2 evac zones away though and the guy across the street is out there hosing down his roof. Huzz seems to be kind of in denial—“stop worrying, we’re not going to have to leave geez”—but I’ve got a “go bag” ready.
