Will anyone be sorry to see summer end, besides me?

I love this time of year. I know it's not popular as autumn approaches and many look forward to foliage and holidays, Halloween and T'day and Santa, football and hockey, but I love flowers, the beach, and warmth. Mostly, I love no snow to shovel or ice to scrape. Just sayin'

I won't be sorry to see summer go away ..... only problem here, it doesn't seem to want to leave. The sun is more intense than ever in these parts for the end of September.
But then again, no one has ever said that we have seasons here.

Summer is the best. I enjoy being outdoors now that I am mostly retired. Autumn is great for the temperature and colors. I enjoy being at the beach, cookouts with family or friends and walking/hiking.

Being outside in the middle of winter investigating a vehicle accident during a snowstorm is no fun.

I'm with you Chic,I love summer except for days when it gets really hot/humid
I love being able to spend time out doors nearly every day,{if its not raining}taking my daily walks, sitting in our community garden watching nature in front of me.Its nice not to have to turn the lights on until 9pm.Our summer here in WNY doesn't last too long maybe 2 months
The past week or so it certainly has felt like summer, temps in 70's,low 80's,still wearing shorts

There are advantages and disadvantages of both. In the winter, we can't get out and do like we do in the summer. But, in the summer we have so many allergens to deal with or at least some of us do.

Summers here are day after day of 110+ F temps. Everyone is very happy when summer ends and we have cooler weather. It's now in the low 90s. Winter is our favorite season in Arizona.

Pretty much the same (though not quite as hot) in NM, too. Summer in the desert is no fun at all. My summer planning revolves around staying in air conditioning and out of the searing sun.

I'm glad to see summer go, and embrace the cool autumn weather, leaves falling, color changes, etc. We're having a weekend of weather in the 70s here in Co., and I'm lovin' it. Fall is my favorite season, next to spring.

I guess it depends where you live. Here in Arizona the summer is the worst season, with daily temps in the 104s and higher. I'm talking about the valleys of course, but not many people can afford to live up in the mountains from May to September. It's finally in the 90's here in Tucson! Looking forward to October to February.

Summer is the BEST... I will take summer year-round, except for a little snow for the Christmas times... but then it can melt, and disappear again... Winter depresses me and makes me ache... This winter they are saying it's supposed to be brutal... Can only hope they are wrong...

I will miss the decent days of summer like when it's not a scorcher. I did enjoy the temperatures in the 70s on several occasions. I don't look forward to the gray sky days we have here in our region much of the Winter. Yet all the seasons have their good points don't they...

After this summer I will be so glad to have cooler, dryer weather. Of course, our winters here in Mobile may get below freezing for a few days each year and we may have some light snow every few years but it sure beats heat index of 110 and above. Humidity is the killer here when combined with the hot temps.
