Will the new Saudi Arabia coalition against terrorism do the trick?

According to the report 34 countries have signed on including Turkey and Egypt. But is Sudia Arabia capable of leading a coalition to wipe out radical Islamic terrorism with their track record regarding the approach to the teachings of Islam? And could this just be a way to try and ward off further Western intervention? I think this is the case and surely you should as well...

Ward off western intervention. Keep the oil & money flowing. That being said I saw where Saudi women were able to participate in an election for the first time ever.
