Will you tell us of your "ghost" experience?

My ghost or mysterious happening took place roughly 30 years ago.

It was late in the night, maybe 10 pm, I was doing dishes and tidying up the kitchen. For months the loss of a lifelong friend had been weighing on me heavily, and as I worked getting the kitchen pulled together, a strong urge came over me to drop what I was doing and look outside, so I slung the tea-towel over my shoulder, turned, and started walking towards the living room window and suddenly, it was as if I walked into what felt like an icy cold thing (I can't describe it).

It was winter and all, so cold outside, yet the house was warm and the heat was on, and there were no drafts or open doors or windows in the house at the time. To make the strange happening even more unsettling, as soon as I walked into the icy cold shape, it felt as though I was trying to walk through a thick sludge, it even slowed my pace down as I entered and exited the cold spot, and the size of the icy cold shape was in keeping with the size of an average human being.

It all happened so fast, one second I hit the cold patch, my pace drastically slowed down, as if I was swimming through sticky glue, and the next second, I was through whatever it was that I just encountered, and my speed picked up again. It took me a few steps to stop and allow what just unfolded to register with me, causing me to stop, turn, and walk through the same spot again to see what it was that I just felt, yet when I came upon the icy cold spot I had just experienced, it was gone, the entire room was toasty warm, the air still.

Even more unsettling was the fact that I had felt a sense of being watched for quite some time that evening while I busy working in the kitchen, at times to the point where it gave me chills, causing me to look over my shoulder, yet there was nothing there, but I do remember an uneasy feeling that was washing through me, nothing I could put my thumb on, just a creepy, haunting feeling.

I remember feeling a strong presence in the room just prior to a voice telling me to look outside, yet when all was said and done, the house felt calm once again, peaceful, free of whatever it was that had come to visit that night, and never has another happening like it occurred again.

It still sends shivers up and down my spine when I think about it, knowing that it was something, something not human, something unknown, something that shouldn't have been in our home.

For months, even years after, I tried telling myself it was my friend that I lost, she was coming to visit me, but she would never would have done something to spook me like that.

I strongly feel to this day that it was an entity, a being of some kind, and it shouldn't have been there.

In closing, I would like others to weigh-in on this for me, I want you to give me your take on what transpired that night, your own belief as to what transpired, your own belief as to what it was.
Your post reminds me of something I experienced a few years back Marg. But first to address what happened to you. Cold spots in otherwise warm places are said to indicate that an entity is in the room or area. I've never heard about the swimming in something thick feeling though. I believe, based on you feeling something was watching you coupled with the rest of the experience, that something did indeed visit you that night. It may not have been malicious just misplaced.

One night, I was sleeping in my recliner which is in the living room. It was dark and I awoke (or so I thought) by the feeling of someone tugging at my left arm. I got annoyed, thinking it was my husband who had come in late and was messing with me. I remember thinking or maybe saying in a very agitated manner "Stop! Stop it! Now my family or anyone who knows me well will tell you....you don't want to make me angry. So it stopped. When I opened my eyes, no one was there and my husband wasn't home yet. I went to the bathroom and I noticed when I got up that the area around the recliner felt cold. When I left the room, the temperature in the hall and bathroom felt normal. Usually the bathroom would be the coldest room because there is no heat source in there, but it wasn't cold in there. When I returned back to the recliner, I noticed the cold was still there. I wasn't scared, just tired so I was able to go back to sleep with no further disturbance.

According to some scientific research paranormal experiences are easily explainable. I won’t go into that research here as it would take a year and a day. What’s important is, whatever happens to a person is real to them.

Since childhood, I have had mysterious experiences. At the time I thought everyone had these and life carried on. I don’t try to figure them out and usually don’t talk about them but my family know and respect them.

The most recent ones are : I was getting ready for bed one night and felt a strong presence in the room. I was not afraid because it’s not the first time I have felt “presences.” Anyway, to cut a long story short, I went to the TV room to ask my husband when he was coming to bed. The look on his face stopped me in my tracks. He told me a relative had just rung with the news my brother who lives in the UK, had died of a heart attack,

Another time, I was taking a visitor from overseas on a tour of South Australia. She was researching her family history and wanted to visit the town and the cemetery where that ancestor was believed to have been buried. Anyway, short story, she ask me to take a picture of her at a grave. Just for good measure, I took a photo with her camera and also with mine.

Later that night, I checked the cameras, the pictures were missing from both. During the night I woke up to go to the bathroom and I felt a presence in the room, not a happy one, but something that caused me fear. What happened to the pictures? What was the “presence” in my room?

PS: I don't think Sunny meant any harm, just my humble opinion.☯️
Scientists always think they have rational explanations for things. That's in their nature but some things simply cannot be explained away by science. Hey if they knew everything, they wouldn't have to periodically walk back theories they publicized because of something new that was discovered.

As far as Sunny not meaning any harm...I do not buy that. This isn't the first time she's accused we who have had experiences of being less intelligent, foolish, mentally unstable, etc. just because she chooses not to believe what we have experienced! And I don't take kindly to people insulting my intelligence or integrity nor that of my friends! That kind of retort is indeed harmful and she knew it.

Your story reminds me so much of my story related to feeling as though something was pulling the covers off of me, OneEyed.

I'm nowhere near as brave as you, there's no way I would have been able to settle back down in the recliner and go back to sleep after what happened to you.

I remain a firm-believer in the idea that there are spirits/beings all around us 24/7.

Marg...I was tired. And when I'm tired, I'm extra cranky. Not even a ghost wants to deal with that. LOL :ROFLMAO:

Oh Marg! I've seen, heard and felt SO MANY spirits, ghosts, ANGELS, it would take pages and pages totell even SOME of them!
My Holy Angel encounter is explained in my books. I don't think I'll tell of that here because it was an incredible spiritual encounter.

Paranormal (which is just NORMAL but not scientifically proven yet) can be of the highest or lowest entities.

I'll tell of one experience which I feel quite humorous!
I was living in a 100 year old log cabin in Big Bear. It was Winter. This strange man asked me out. He looked ok and I was single, so "Why not?"
He took me out to a little dinner. There was no place to go, really,in the winter, and i had no booze in the house, so I asked if he wanted to come in for some hot chocolate. We were alone. He sat on the sofa and I brought some hot cocao from the kitchen.
He paid no attention to that but his hands were all over me! "Whoa! Hold on! I don't even KNOW YOU!"
I had hung a willow heart wreath on the wall with 2 sturdy 8D nails at angles, about 25 feet away.
This heart wreath came flying extremely fast, like a bullet, across the room, and hit him in the stomach! He screamed, FROM PAIN because it really hit him HARD!
Well, Strange Stuff like this happens to me all the time, so I laughed! "He's yelling, "What the !" "OW!" He ran out outside and jumped in his truck! I was giggling and ran his coat out to him, which he squeezed through a partially open window. Never saw him again!

I went in and talked to whoever threw that at him. "How am I supposed to get a boyfriend if you chase them away?" hahaha!

I sometimes feel my head being stroked like a grandmother would for a grandchild
Do not feel alarmed at this if it happens to you because there is no malice intended
I find it very comforting
I do too! all the time, and locks of my hair moved around! I was wondering if anyone else felt this!
I've analyzed the WAY the hair is moved and it is against physics. There is no other explanation for it!

Gaer, the movie industry missed their calling in staring you as The Love Witch. :)

OMG! If the same happened to me I would have been hoping into the pickup truck with my date and getting out of there! LOL!

Marg, I have a thousand stories like that! But, I want to hear of OTHER'S EXPERIENCES!
I understand, but I really enjoyed hearing about yours, Gaer.

If there is any you experienced that were scary, like really unsettling, one of those would be the crowning glory for me.

Only once, Most "spirits" are composed and benevolent. I decided not to tell of it here because I don't want to perpetuate FEAR of the unknown to these nice people. The world is full of fear and ignorance. Don't be afraid of anything. If you are ever afraid, call to your angels. They will surround you and protect you.

Sorry Marg!

In other words, don't sweat the small stuff.

Being you didn't know him well, at first I was surprised to read that you invited him in. But now I know why....you knew you had back up. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I met Ed & Lorraine Warren in the late '80's at a meeting they held in my NH town. I left thinking "They're F-ing crazy" although I arrived looking forward to seeing them. Nuts is the impression that stays with me.
Makes one curious as to why you bothered to attended the meeting.

Letting someone know they are wrong in treating people a certain way is not "sweating the small stuff" Dana. I said what I had to say and now I'm done with it. I love your chill attitude though.

Wanted to start a discussion about Ouija Boards anybody any idea how I do it I am new to this forum. Apologies if it is obvious how to do it.

Some of these experiences are extraordinary! and, . . . . .It takes courage and gumption for these people to tell others about these amazing incidents! I applaud all of you! Condemnation from those with limited vision will always occur. You KNOW what you experienced! Be proud of your awarenesses and your delicate sensitivities to experience these.
