Wish there was a way to delete questions that get no response

i think I'm just not old enough for this forum at least mentally . The King (Elvis) comes to mind. If it happen last week it gets dismissed , who has time to be 100 percent in the past , present or future. A balanced of all things is what I try and do. Sorry not trying to offend anyone. If I were in a line up for seniors would Not get picked.

Not sure what you mean, because frankly, I mostly likely wouldn't get picked either, but, I do my best to enjoy present company wherever I go. Why go on a senior forum and complain when most of the people turn out to be seniors with topics of interest primarily geared in that direction. If it's not for you exit gracefully without calling the people old crows out loud be more like me and say things like that under your breath. Kidding folks about calling names. ;)

Huh? Are you saying that you are too young to remember the King?

I have created new threads that got no or only one or two responses. What interests one person may not interest everyone.. or even very many. There is really no way to know what thread will take off or not. Sometimes the most minor of all topics will create a MEGA-thread.. sometimes not. I don't take offense.. not sure why you do.

I agree Quicksilver. We all have posts that may not get many responses, but hey-ho. Neither can we all agree on all subjects, and if we did, there would be no debate.Stick with it pchrise, and keep on posting! You are getting responses to this post anyway.;)

I can see how she feels, I just looked at her "Views/Replies" and, just like most of us on some threads we've done........ A LOT more "views" than "replies". In this Thread she has had 99 "views" and now 4 "replies". Another Thread of hers shows 154 "views" and 4 "replies".

For some, like another member who complained about the "views" vs. the "replies, it can be rather annoying to see and wonder why so few are replying. It can really make a person think, "do people join a forum just to view Threads, not to reply? Why join?"

It must take Threads, like my "t-shirt" one to have people "run to the Thread" and reply. And, Threads like that one, can be a real "learning" thing......like it was for me!

Anyway, you can either leave or stay with us, but just don't get too disappointed in the "views" vs. "replies". Myself and others have had to learn that.

Well, sometimes, I think I talk too much, on the site, so, I get tired of seeing nothing but a line of my responses when I go to look for new postings. I don't much like talking to myself either. It's really just a handful of people that continuously post. People ignore my post all the time even when I speak to them directly, so, I do sympathise, but, it isn't nice to call people old fogies because of a lack of responses. :giggle:

Besides, I'm sure some people would much rather no response than some of the responses their bound to get in time, but I promise to do my share to assist all of human kind to feel more inclusive. Pinky swear. -------> AprilT OLD in body due to health issues not related to age, young in mind, well except for those lapses in memory.

PS, granny has to go drop a beat and dance to I'm so Fancy by my girl Iggy Azalea.

You have to remember that we are ALL aging...some just had a head start!:) We all handle it differently, and think of ourselves in a special category. We shouldn't dwell on it.

Besides, some threads don't even need a lot of discussion. Like I started the one about including pepper with the turmeric that you might be taking. Lots of views and maybe one reply. But what's there to talk about right? Not like that one is arguable.

I guess I should look up the other activity that pchrise has been involved in though shouldn't I? Maybe her comment was discussable and somehow just got overlooked or maybe made folks nervous? Hmmm, off to find out.

When I first joined and would start what I thought was an interesting post and received few if any responses I would get offended.

You can create a game thread, such as name all the state capitols that start with the letter 'A'. NOT!

I found that just starting non-offensive, meaning no political or religious threads was my way to vent or comment on an interesting news item. If no one responded then that was okay. I had my say. Stay with us and post or reply to others when you feel like it and don't worry about responses, they are getting read. I closed my FB account years ago when few responded to a wall post or ignored my friend request, I figured it was their loss. That is behind me now.

Yes I am old enough to remember THE KING and being tone death won't critique his singing but can say without candor that his acting skills were suspect.

I guess I'm just not the sensitive type. I post what I feel is interesting, and if no one else does... oh well.. I really don't worry about it..

Thats exactly my feeling too, some of my posts get a lot of "views" and some get no replies at all.
I accept that as a forum member.

Thank you to all that took the time to say something, I never called anyone names, I have been on here a week, I'm three years from seventy and very ill, just wanted to get my mind off of things and share.

I love this forum! I am guilty about viewing and not posting comments; I'll try to do better. All of ya'll are a highlight of my day! I somehow feel ya'll are great company! I am going to find a thread RIGHT NOW and make a comment! (ha!).
