a speedy recovery, lots of good movies, good books and your favourite ice cream.:love_heart:

I missed the reason why you had to have foot surgery, but nevertheless, I hope it goes well and a speedy healing and recovery.

Hey Jim. I hope you are feeling a bit better today.
How did your operation go?
Is it very painful?
I’m hoping we here from you soon.

Thank you everyone, I apprecite the well wishes! I missed this thread earlier when I was on the board, thanks to Keesha for starting it!

The operation went well. I had a lot of pain for a few days, thankfully that has gotten better. My foot is wrapped in a temporary splint for two weeks. I go back to the dr's for a check up and dressing change on Wed. If he gives me the okay, I will probably return to work on Thursday. The following Wed he will remove the stitches and put on a permanent cast that will stay on for 4 - 6 weeks. No walking or driving until the cast comes off.

My wife has been and will be a huge help with everything, I'd be in trouble without her.

Dave A, the Pats squeaked one out yesterday. The defense looked pretty good, it was nice to see them get pressure on the qb. Brady had another good game as well. Looking forward to the MLB playoffs, these last few weeks of the regular season are boring when the games don't really mean much.

Nice to have you back, Jim! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks RR, me too!

When the game begins, they flip a coin to see who gets the ball.

The rest of the game, the crowd shouts, "Get the quarterback. Get the quarterback!"

:p

Glad you are on the mend!!

Thanks Terry!

Glad everything went well. I guess you will be in for some physical therapy once the cast is removed.

Thanks Ruth! Yes I'll have p/t twice a week for 4-6 months. It's going to be about 8-10 months before I'm back to normal.

I’m really glad you are feeling a bit better Jim.
I know I acknowledged you in the walking thread but I didn’t here.
Its good to know it went well.
