With friends like these the vaccine does not need any enemies.

Did you know that the corona virus knows how you voted in 2020?

In a fit of judgemental telling it like it is, my governor said if you are not vaccinated and voted for a certain person in 2020, you are not only a vile person, but you are going to kill little children by passing this deadly virus to them. I kid you not. I saw the video of him saying this.

Apparently, if you are not vaccinated but did NOT vote for that person, your are not only a nice person, but the kids are safe around you. Isn't that corona virus smart?

You can't make this stuff up.

I'm vaccinated and I encourage others to do the same. But, this kind of nonsense just amazes me. With friends like these, the Covid vaccine does not need more enemies.

I'm constantly amazed at the amount of misinformation there is, surrounding this virus and the vaccines. I can't understand why Any level headed person would believe any of this nonsense that seems to be popping up on social media, extremist internet blogs, and "news" sources.

Sure, there are cases where the vaccines don't fully protect a person....but that's the case with nearly every drug. Given how fast this virus erupted, and spread, I'm amazed that scientists were able to come up with treatments that substantially reduce the risks, as fast as they did.

Thank you, @Brookswood for voicing frustration at a silly politician without going into specifics and violating forum rules that keeps SF somewhat a respite from the partisan politics overload found everywhere! else! on the internet. Several people could learn from your post but I'm not holding my breath that they will... even if they'd like for me to hold my breath, I'm not gonna do it. 🙃

What forum rules? If it is within the forum rules to spread this highly dubious story, then it is also within forum rules to name the state, or show the quotation. You can't have it both ways, Annie.

(I did try googling it several different ways, and usually have no trouble finding anything by using Google. It's an amazingly intuitive search engine. But with this subject, I got nothing at all.)

Here's to you @Brookswood so people will stop implying that you're lying.

Direct quote from press conference:

"If you’re a 50 year old man who you know voted for [redacted] and didn’t think Covid was a problem and you don’t get vaccinated right now, you’re a risk to every kid in your city because you could be spreading the virus to a ten year old who can’t get eligible for the vaccine right now."

This is a dangerously misleading statement to make given that vaccinated people with mild breakthrough casess might actually be more likely to spread the virus since the person with the milder case is more likely to be out and about thinking that they're suffering from allergies or a summer cold. It's not time to abandon masks yet IMO. I'm still wearing mine for protection against all infected people, vaccinated or not. His statement is also certain to make the people he's pointing fingers at to dig in even more.

He rambled on more than that, including calling ventilators 'innovators' ...I suppose at one time they were innovative...
