Halloween and Christmas
Once my grandson came up to me and asked if I liked listening to heavy metal. I didn't understand him, and he said, “Of course, our family loves Halloween , and that's heavy metal day. I'll play some for you now,” and he turned it on—it was torture for my ears
Halloween and Easter. I can't remember the last time I received chocolates for Valentines Day.
Probably because I am not a big eater of it for years now.
#1 Halloween
#2 Christmas (we had more of a celebration for this than #3)
#3 Easter (Definitely got easter baskets with lots of candies but the "fancy" candy from Christmas overshadowed this holiday)
Valentine's Day - my dad always gave me a little heart-shaped box of chocolates.
Easter - I always got an Easter basket of goodies until mom passed.
Halloween - trick-ot-treat until a teenager.
For some reason, candy was never a big part of Christmas in my family although dad sometimes got cut rock or ribbon candy, but I didn't partake of it.
If anyone got mom candy for Mother's Day, they would get it thrown back at them.
