Haha. Mine do too but I have to admit that the chickadees seem to voice their approval when I feed them. The squirrels often yell at me like Iām stealing ātheirā food. Cheeky things they are. Lol Sometimes I let the dogs chase them. Thatās always funā¦..

In New Hampshire, we had a "pet" squirrel, Squiggy. She would come to play with my cat, each on their own side of a screen door. They would climb it together, race up and down together. One day, she brought all her babies with her to meet us. I was so flattered. She must have been telling them where to come for a good meal!

The chickadee is, by FAR, my favourite songbird. They will land right in my hands if Iām patient enough. While feeding them they chirp and it really feels like a thank you while the blue jays act like youāre stealing their food. Then again, when the food gets low for the blue jays, they will fly really close to the windows, trying to get my attention. They too, know who feeds them. The chickadees are ever so gentle. They are good sharers.
For university my brother was sent to Algonquin park to study the chickadees.
