BTW...before I post this story.... this ''49 year old grandmother''... looks twice that age, and her ugly heart is showing in her ugly face...

A callous grandmother who dumped her kitten in a neighbour's wheelie bin before trying to 'stone' it to death during a drinking binge grinned as she walked free from a court.

Pamela Mattinson, 49, repeatedly hurled a large brick into the bin with both hands as the terrified animal lay screaming inside.

She initially fled the scene when confronted by the neighbour but returned, pulled the kitten out a plastic bag and told him: 'why is my cat in your bin?' before threatening to smash his windows.

Police arrested Mattinson as she was carrying the cat in her arms to a local vet. The unnamed moggy was said to be distressed and had injured one of its hind legs and was also bleeding heavily from its paw. It has since made a miraculous recovery and is with new owners.

When quizzed Mattinson, from Bolton, Greater Manchester who calls herself: 'B**** wiv attitude' on Facebook said she had accidentally injured her pet whilst trying to frighten off a larger cat which had been harassing it.

She claimed she had been attempting to put the kitten 'out of its misery' but also confessed she had been drinking vodka in the run up to the incident.

At Bolton Crown Court, Mattinson who admitted causing unnecessary suffering and using threatening behaviour was sentenced to eight months jail but it was suspended for two years. She was also banned from keeping animals for ten years.

Edmund Potts, prosecuting, said, 'On March 2, 2023, a neighbour heard a loud banging noise from the rear window of his property and also heard the screams of what sounded like an animal.

'He went to the back window to see the defendant standing by his bin. She was picking up what looked like a large brick and throwing it with two hands down into the bin. He recorded the defendant repeat this action four times.

'The neighbour then opened the back door to his garden and asked what she was doing but in response, the defendant ran back to her own garden next door. The neighbour called the police but a short time after the defendant returned and pulled her cat out black bin bag at the bottom of the bin saying, 'why is my cat in your bin?'

'She then threatened to put his windows in before leaving with the cat in her hands and walking towards a local vet. She was later detained by the police nearby. A PC noticed the cat was frightened and seized it from her.

A few months in jail and a ban from ever owning another pet would seem appropriate. BTW you are looking at a parrot that has been with us for 47 years and may outlive us both. Her name is Fred. We believed her to be a boy when she came to live with until a few years later “he” got romantic with my wife and laid an egg. (-8

nope she got a slap on the wrist....

she's smirking as well as she left court... I do hope that there's a few cat lovers out there who might wish to wipe that smirk off her face..

Well, the animal lover in me wants this lady to be punished, but she's obviously quite mentally disturbed. Too bad there was no case for having her committed to a mental health facility for treatment.

No, I did not enjoy it. What the hell is wrong with the court?
this is the problem we have in the UK, the court system is genrally too soft on offenders these days... this evil woman had a long rap sheet as well..yet they still set her free...

..and just today.. a man grabbed a toddler from a mothers' arms in the street and ran off with the baby holding it dangling by it's feet...the mother with the help of a passer by managed to get her baby off him... while someone else kept him captured till the police arrived... the baby had a broken ankle and had to have a toe amputated.. !

What did the abductor get in way of a sentence?>. 4 years.. he'll be out in 2... and potentially do it again or worse to someone else..

Putting her in jail might seem appropriate, but a part of me says she'll enjoy it too much. Good grief. There are no excuses, no justifications, no way to comprehend what she did. People should take note, if she can do that to a vulnerable animal, she can do all sorts to fellow humans too. In life you have to believe in reform, but given her attitude in court, she's nowhere close to that.

I can't wish death on her, because I hold life itself above all else. That said, moving someone like this to the immigrants barge might be a good idea. Not that she's an immigrant, but I like the idea of seperating her from society and keeping her on water. That way, if she does anything like this again, she can be thrown overboard.

What is required is an open topped tank, with this cruel bitch in it, about 12ft deep with a platform around it for people to stand on while they hurl boulders into the tank. Second thoughts, no, that's a bad idea, the boulders might dint the tank.

Pets are not important in the human legal system. They have no standing. There should be stricter rules on cruelty against these innocents.
It apparently varies from state to state, but animal cruelty laws are common to every state.

”Animal cruelty is illegal across the United States, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the same thing in every state. Several states have strengthened their laws to protect dogs, cats, and other pets from different kinds of mistreatment and neglect. In fact, many laws now require pet owners to meet detailed standards of care for their companion animals.”

I have always been a cat lover. Let's see the old battleaxe pick on a cat closer to her own size. That beautiful tiger would be great to begin with. Sooner or later, she should be forced to share a cage with a male African lion.
