Woman who fell in Mt. Walker vault toilet while trying to retrieve phone rescued.

Firefighters rescued a woman who had tumbled into a Mt. Walker vault toilet while attempting to fish her lost cellphone out from the waste on Tuesday afternoon.

Brinnon Fire Department Chief Tim Manly said the woman, who was at the top of Mt. Walker, had been using her phone and had dropped it down into the vault. After she disassembled the toilet seat, she used dog leashes to try to retrieve the phone and eventually used the leashes to tie herself off as she reached for it, he said. That effort failed and she fell, horrifyingly, into the vault, headfirst.

Most of me wishes that this is fake news! There is that little bit that thinks justice is served!

This made me laugh.... not at her misfortune but remembering when i worked retail and i took care of the floor phones for associates .......no matter how many times we insisted DO NOT take in restroom ..... they did ....
I had to call in a help desk ticket and would just call and say " We have a floater" .......they knew what that meant.....

No phone is worth that! :poop:
When I worked as a process server & carried a firearm, I was using a public restroom & set my gun on top of the toilet tank (too close to the edge). While I was unbuttoning my pants, it started sliding toward the bowl. I put it on the floor, instead. I remember thinking: "Hmmm, it's my favorite gun & it cost over $1,500.00. I wonder if I would put my hand in the bowl if it fell in?"

Well, a gun can be cleaned and still work, so...yeah, I think I'd stick my hand in to get a gun. A phone? No, I don't think so. Once it's in water it's pretty well shot. (No pun intended) Unless the phone is water proof. Are there water proof phones???

You were armed in order to serve court documents ?? This Canadian is sitting here shaking my head. I spent about 20 years licensed as a Private Investigator here in Canada, and no PI here is armed. Even our off duty cops are not armed. A different world down there. JimB.

Stupid people always carry their cell phones around with them. I have often seen men using urinals in men's washrooms. In one hand they have "you know what" and in the other they are holding their precious smartphone and are having some "important" conversation so everyone in the washroom can hear all about how important they are.

What gets me is these clowns never even bother washing their hands when they are finished peeing. I guess they are just too busy and just too important to wash their hands. Time is money to them. So, they walk around with smelly hands.

Well, I had to be in some of the worst parts of the city. And sometimes, people react violently to being evicted.
I think it's great that there is no violent crime in Canada.
