Woman's death wish.. have her healthy dog euthanized

Not as dumb as prior civilzations that demanded their precius beongings be entombed with them so they could be rich in the afterlife. I hope they thought to put a leash in as well. Can't have animals running loose in the afterlife.

Not only their belongings, but quite often their servants, wives, concubines and children, too. Somebody has to take care of those "belongings", y'know?
 
My mother wanted her cat put to sleep upon her death. I told my brother not to do it for her..I still don't know what happened to that cat but told him to take it to a no kill shelter.
 

IMO it would be a very poor example of a vet that would euthanise a healthy pet

But don't they do that all the time in animal shelters to the animals who haven't been adopted after a certain amount of time? What other choice do they have?

Of course, those animals unfortunately aren't "pets."

My sister worked for a veterinary clinic and said dog breeders would come in and want innocent, healthy puppies put down because they didn't have the right color or markings. That's just heartless in my opinion.
