I've worn my caps for yrs,not about to stop.The only time I don't wear them is winter,tad too cold

Wimmen wear them more sensibly. I've seen some anal-orifices wearing them
backwards, but have sunglasses on.

I have to wear a hat when out in the sun. My hair is thinning and my scalp gets sunburned if I'm not careful. I got it terribly sunburned in the tropics once when spending hours in the sea and I don't want to ever do that again. So, it's hats for me.....floppy ones, ballcaps or bandanas.

I've never really thought about it till now but since you asked it may be a good idea for me to hide my roots when my hair starts filling in. I was using my beret type winter cap but it's getting too warm for that. So, yes I like the idea.

The summer I let my grey grow out was the summer I was seldom without a hat. Otherwise I looked like an old polecat.

Well, I do prefer to wear some clothes, too. Frankly, other people prefer I wear clothes, also.

I wear one when I go for a walk in the morning, and (a different one!) when I am mowing the lawn. And a sparkly one for the beach. Mostly to avoid wild hair!
