I was in the Navy, stationed on a destroyer in San Diego. Woodstock happened in August 1969, two months after I got back to San Diego from my first WesPac Cruise to Nam. At the time, I didn't even know Woodstock was going on! Some years later, I watched the Woodstock movie and seen some rock groups that I knew......Santana and Jefferson Airplane to name a couple. My wife loves Janis Joplin and Janis was there. One thing I didn't like was the song that Country Joe and The Fish done about Vietnam.
I learned that the drummer for Santana was the youngest musician at Woodstock. After watching a narrated commentary about Woodstock, I realized that "weight can come with age"! A lot of people who were at Woodstock were fairly skinny back then, but aren't now. I know I was fairly thin back then.
We use to have a neighbor who told us that she conceived her daughter at Woodstock.
As for, "The Women of Woodstock", I done some research and there is a couple of websites about this title. One talks about Business Women and Retreats and the other is about the women singers at Woodstock.
