I like the smell of Arpege by Lanvin on women and luckily my first and second wives have also liked it......it's a old scent and has been around since the 1920's and is a little hard to find without ordering it in.

On me (when she can talk me in to wearing it) mama likes the smell of Polo Blue.

What are your favorite perfumes and colognes ?..........you don't have to reply Shali, we've got a pretty good idea of what you like. :)

I was a pilot for Air Wisconsin and United for 34 years. Neither airline allows anyone in the cockpit to wear any fragrances and flight attendants were only permitted to wear what was on the acceptable list. This was due to some passengers having allergies to some of the ingredients in some of the fragrances. So, I never got into the habit is using anything like after shave or cologne, even though I have a drawer full of the stuff that I need to get rid of. As for my wife, we both like Fred Hayman's "Touch" perfume, Eternity and one by Versace, which the name escapes me at the moment.

Although rather a "heavy" scent, one of my favourites was "Opium" by Y S L and on a lighter note, my late mother's perfume "Je Reviens" by Worth. :)

I am very allergic to anything artificially scented. Most perfumes/aftershaves/scented lotions give me immediate sinus headache. I've been fortunate on all our flights that I've only detected a few scented lotions that weren't strong enough to cause much trouble or were far enough away from me.

I love fragrance and there are so many to choose from! Some I have been wild about include, but not limited to are- Norrell, Estee, Shalimar, White Shoulders, Channel No. 5 and an old, one no longer available that I loved as a teen, called Nostalgia by Germaine Monteil. How I would love to have that again.

I'm with you on the artificial scent sensitivity, causes me sinus and bronchial irritation.

I don't care for perfume, and the ones that are too strong bother me, even a scratch and sniff ad in a magazine will be off-putting sometimes. If I use anything, it will be a mildly scented body splash with a fruity citrus smell. Hubby has an old bottle of Old Spice sitting on the shelf that he might use one a year if that much.

I am an old man. Not trying to be sexy. I use Old Spice after shave, it smells nice and cools my face.

It's a popular scent for sure AZ, my father also used it, but I remember he also had a bottle of Canoe and Fabrege.

I don't buy or wear mainstream perfumes anymore as I get headaches from them, but I do love natural essential oils like sandalwood or patchouli (in small small doses, lavender, etc. Don't like scents on men at all - ever - oh maybe on some lightly scented soap, that's all.

Aramis, Kenneth Cole Black, Polo, John Vavartos, Cool Water and wear Ferragamo I'll follow you anywhere. Those are all men's fragrance. I like Burberry's and Chanel, but have a drawer full of fragrance from drug store bargains on up. I probably wear something different every day. Casual jeans just about every day but I do smell nice:)

If you have a bunch of old perfumes that have gone stale/rancid a good way to use them up is to add a few drops to the last rinse cycle for linens, make them smell nice but not overpowering.

For the past decade, I had a favorite, but, they keep changing the formula, but, mainly, the reason, it has dropped out of favor is I no longer I'm no longer able to catch a deal on it. I like this one more than I've like most any other, but, I just can't justify paying even the regular discount department store price, on my budget. I've only seen people passing off cheap copies as the real thing at the sale price, sometimes even at the higher price. I've unfortunately made one or two of those purchases, thankfully I did recoup my money when I reported the fakes. I've got like, ten or so squirts left of my last bottle and I guess I'm done. I've been trying to find a new favorite to no avail. :(

Laurie, Burberry, from what I smelled of a sample was nice, but, I couldn't remember which of the Burberry scents it was when I had gone to the store to try it out, that was about a year ago when I was on hunt for another scent, I'm still on the hunt though to replace my J'adore. Before the Dior''s fragrance, I used to wear Ralph Lauren's Polo Sport, that of course has in recent years been discontinued. I can't win. Last time I bought the J'adore, it came with a free purse size bottle of Juicy Couture, I really don't care for it, but, I use it sometimes to prolong what little I have left of the Dior. I'm really going to miss it, I'm at the point, I rather wear no scent now after having grown used to that one, well the original of the earlier version that is.

Some of the fakes are very good!!!! I love Angel but the CVS "impression" is just as good for a quarter of the price. Another helpful hint are magazine smelly ads. Those perfume samples are great in drawers. Before I send magazines to the recycle bin I pull out all the scent samples I like and line the clothes drawers. Mix and match and your clothes smell beautiful.

I've heard that, so far, I've not found that to be so with the fragrances I've liked and worn for a while. I had heard CVS or maybe it was Walgreens, carried a line of knock offs that came really close to the originals. I was so excited until I got a wiff, that was the end of my thinking I found an end to spending hours searching for a deal. Oh well, I imagine, sometimes they might get other fragrances right, no go for the ones I like, not even slightly close.

I miss being able to enjoy them. Didn't become allergic until my late 40's, early 50's and then moreso all the time. Used to have scented candles but they became torture. Some make me cough, some make my nose run, but the worst give me serious sinus headache. Walked past a one of those Bath & Body shops once and not only did my sinuses flare up but my ears seemed to fill with fluid like I was underwater.

I discovered last year that I can't buy anything like Sinutab in Thailand without prescription, so I brought 3 boxes this time, just in case. Being on allergy meds for the past 3 or 4 years has helped a lot.
