Women's Football - the gentle side of the game

Once upon a time ago, I was drawn into the game when my daughter took to playing when she was 10 (1997).
Having played 'to a reasonbly ripe age' I took to coaching, managing and Administration within the F.A. (Involved in the move to Professionalism).
Success for the Lionessess in the last two Euros has seen the game receive a much higher profile, with the standards certainly improving from what was to what is.
Has anyone else hold an interest in the Sport - love to hear any tales.

Having photographed Women's football here in the UK up to 'Ladies Euros level' I can say that yes, it's a different game to the Men's game. Slower and less reliant on raw power. But gentle? Hell no!

Women’s football in the United States is anything but gentle
Yes - I stand somewhat corrected - they do have a tendency for focus and intent in the US, though to be fair they've more options and better PR in the states. The WSL in the UK are attracting some more robust players from a Worldwide net and will improve, though I still think fro a general view we are still a tad behind ⚽

Women's football (AFL) in Australia has taken off over last decade.

at this point not as skilled as men's, it must be said - but same rules, not gentler either.

What a trip that you coach a pro women's 🏈 team!!!I have watched it several times, and might watch again. But I am fascinated by the life style u have. Are u rich?:)just kidding. Do you still have a good relationship with your daughter? I hope so.

My daughter was a good athlete and loves watching girls /women compete. Her son just started spring tackle 🏈 🏈 🏈 🏈. Go team? 💪 💪
