Women's Soccer World Cup

The World Cup of women's soccer is taking place in Winnipeg as I type. Australia, the Matildas, are playing the USA team and the score is one all after 40 minutes.

Australia has never beaten the Americans in 24 previous matches, managing only 2 drawn games. The USA is the second best team in the world after Japan (?) and is a fully professional team. Our girls all have day jobs.

I don't follow sport very much but guess which team I'm cheering for.

It's now the second half, and the Americans have just scored a second goal. The Matildas are attempting to strike back.

There's less than 10 minutes left and I think the outcome is already determined. However, a last minute equaliser is always possible.
