Woot! Just made hotel reservations for South Padre in November.

We are planning to meet our dear friends in South Padre in November. We will be doing birding things, so outdoors, and possibly mask-free. So happpy to get out of Dodge. It's a six hour drive, but so worth it! Can't wait. Room rate at the Hilton Garden Inn was $66 dollars a night. And I'll be so happy to see our friends again. They lived in our neighborhood for over thirty years. When they retired, they bought a condo in Galveston, and later a house in the Woodlands, to be closer to their kids. Before the Covid, we used to visit often. Dave would try new recipes, and we would declare them VC (their initials) worthy, because he always would cook for them. They did all the clean up, and I was completely off the hook for anything except consumption of wine. Heaven! Can't wait to see them again.

Might seem silly but you should probably wear some kind of gloves when fueling. No way to know if the person before you left the virus on the key pad or pump handle.
